From Strategy to Closeout: How to Use Generative AI
for the Grants Management Lifecycle

This session will provide an overview of Generative AI and how participants can utilize the technology to support the grants management lifecycle. 
 
Participants will gain a solid understanding of the core principles of Generative AI. We will also delve into general real-world use cases, discovering how Generative AI can enhance various aspects of the grants management lifecycle. This informative session will equip attendees with the knowledge needed to assess the potential benefits and potential challenges of implementing Generative AI solutions in their grants management initiatives.

 
Learning Objectives - Generative AI Basics:

  • The fundamental principles of Generative AI, including how it works; the evolution of Generative AI compared to previous iterations of Artificial Intelligence; and why Generative AI is so impactful.

  • Evaluate the benefits and potential challenges of Generative AI. Participants will gain insight into the impact of implementing Generative AI in grants management and how GenAI- use cases can support improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and resource allocation.

  • Participants will learn about common implementation challenges, such as data requirements and integration with existing system, as well as key considerations to offset these challenges.

  • Discuss implementation strategy around Generative AI, including how to get started with Generative AI and how to responsibly scale.

  • After the session, participants will be able to identify and discuss specific use cases where Generative AI can be applied effectively for grants management. Ex: automating document generation; improving decision-making processes; enhancing applicant engagement; or streamlining reporting and compliance procedures.
