Compliance Conversations:
2024 Uniform Guidance Updates The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released its updates Uniform Guidance on April 4. Join NGMA's extended three-hour webinar and hear legal experts and federal panel discuss these updates and how they affect grants management.
Agenda
1-1:15 p.m. | Opening Remarks
1:15-3 p.m. | Overview of the Uniform Guidance Revisions The recent updates to the Uniform Guidance at 2 CFR 200 are consistent with OMB’s promise to regularly update the Guidance. It's a refreshing change from the earlier sets of grant administration rules that were often left untouched for years, if not decades. Among the major updates are: equipment thresholds; a revised definition of MTDC, along with an increase in the de minimis rate to 15%; an increased single audit threshold; expanded self-reporting obligations; and cybersecurity requirements, to name just a few.
Your speakers will review the Guidance changes, why they are important, how they may (or may not) be helpful, and what impact they may have on your grant-funded operation. Learning objectives:
- Explore the changes made to the Uniform Guidance.
- Discuss how these changes impact how your organization does business.
- Discuss what your expanded reporting obligations will be moving forward.
- Discuss the impact these changes have on agency-specific grant rules.
