Making Sense of your Data: How Grantmaking Intelligence and Impact Measurement Help Improve Decision Making
Presented by Muhammad Siddiqui, Fluxx and Drew Payne, Upmetrics

Grants management involves massive amounts of data that needs to be collected, reviewed and analyzed in order to achieve the grantmaking organization’s mission. Without an effective way to organize and visualize the data, however, it is difficult, if not impossible, to do the wrangling necessary to take meaningful steps forward.

Grantmaking intelligence is the means by which data is centralized, structured, amalgamated, and transformed into easy-to understand visualizations that deliver impact insights related to the organization’s mission. Which begs the question - how can grantmakers achieve grantmaking intelligence??

In this webinar, Fluxx and UpMetrics provide guidance and best practices around leveraging data for good (in order to do good). We cover the essentials of grantmaking intelligence and impact measurement, including:

Outlining data objectives: What is the purpose of impact measurement? What is the goal? Who should be involved?
Selecting the right metrics to track: What data points and KPIs are important to your mission? How will gathering certain metrics enable you to drive actionable insights?
Organizing and visualizing the data: How to present the data and metrics in a meaningful way for each audience?
Benchmarking impact, and taking action: How can you begin utilizing your impact data to effect positive change?
How to pull it all together: What tools and technology are required?

Learning Objectives:

  • This session will benefit those seeking to learn more on how data and intelligence factors into grants management as a whole.

  • Organizations looking to learn more about how to leverage impact data to make more informed decisions will be able to gain a better understanding of the elements required from this session.

  • Additionally, organizations seeking technology and tools that can help support their grantmaking intelligence and impact measurement effort will benefit from this session.
