Chapter Meetings and Events

OMB Announcement Notes on Grants and the Recently Released Federal Budget
From the Office of Federal Financial Management—Office of Management and Budget:

As I’m sure many of you have seen in the news, OMB released the President’s 2021 Budget.  For those who are particularly interested in financial management –related topics (especially grants and real property, please see links below to draw your attention to some particular sections which may be of interest): 

  • The analytical perspective volume (https://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/analytical-perspectives/) contains chapters dedicated to Payment Integrity, Federal Real Property, and Aid to State and Local Governments.
  • The main budget volume (https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/budget_fy21.pdf) contains two chapters in particular, “Stopping Wasteful and Unnecessary Spending” and “Delivering a More Responsive, Agile, and Efficient Government”, which discusses many of the Financial Management priorities such as Grants, Payment Integrity, Real Property, the Federal Data Strategy, and Enterprise Risk Management.

Board Voting
All ACTIVE NGMA members have the right to vote for your volunteer-based Board of Directors. The election is being held online only and is open now through March 2nd, at Midnight.

This year we have eleven nominees, of which three will be elected as Board Directors. The new Board of Directors will be elected by a simple majority vote and will be announced at NGMA's 2020 Annual Grants Training on Tuesday, April 14th.
